Section 7 : Learner Support and Resources
The following are the elements of my online/blended courses in fulfillment of section 7 of the Quality in Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) rubric:
7.1 Instructor states her role in the support process.
Online discussions play a large role in the online and blended courses I teach. Introductions and video instructions for students are provided for Voicethread and online activities.
7.2 The course syllabus lists links to a clear explanation of the technical support provided by the campus and suggestions as to when and how students should access it.
7.3 The link to my electronic syllabus (above) provides an introduction to academic (non-technical) support services and resources available to support students in achieving their educational goals (Disabilities, Tutoring, Writing Center).
7.4 The course syllabus provides information regarding how the institution’s student support services can help students succeed and how they can use these services.
